AI Pay Analysis: To analyze whether the hourly rate for a “Medical Assistant Per Diem” in Grand Rapids, MI is competitive, it’s essential to consider the industry standards and average wages for similar roles in the area. As of late 2023, the average hourly wage for medical assistants in Michigan typically ranges from $16 to $20, with per diem positions often paying slightly higher to account for the lack of guaranteed hours and benefits. If the offered rate falls within or above this range, it can be deemed competitive; however, if it’s significantly lower, it may not attract qualified candidates. Additionally, local cost of living and demand for healthcare services can also influence competitiveness. A comprehensive review of current job postings and local market conditions would provide more precise insights.
