Overview
Position: Medical Front Office – Patient Service Specialist
Location: Stow, OH
Type of Employment: Full-time
Schedule: Weekdays (Hours vary), 2 evenings until 7pm
Compensation: Starting at $15/hr based on experience

Role Summary
As a Patient Service Specialist in our outpatient physical therapy center in Stow, Ohio, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive at the front desk. This position encompasses both patient-facing responsibilities and essential business functions, emphasizing the importance of your contributions to the overall care experience of each patient, even before they leave the waiting room.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients, providing them with comprehensive information regarding what to expect during their visit as well as details about their next appointment during check-out.
  • Schedule patient appointments both in-person and over the phone.
  • Maintain regular communication with various stakeholders, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, as well as operational leaders and the business development team.
  • Collect co-pays from patients, oversee payer approvals, and manage the processes of insurance authorizations and verifications.

Qualifications
Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of front desk experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with insurance verification.
  • Background in healthcare.
