Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Member Services Representative – Floater to join our team. Bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, all while ensuring a positive “Judgement Free” experience for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Answer phone calls with a friendly demeanor and assist callers with a range of inquiries.
• Check in members, conduct tours, and facilitate new member sign-ups; manage amenity logs and communicate updates and events.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with membership card issuance, address changes, and billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby.
• Perform regular facility cleaning, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Clean exercise equipment and tanning beds consistently.
• Ensure restrooms and wet areas are cleaned and stocked regularly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Candidates for overnight positions must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent on a satisfactory outcome.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A positive, upbeat, and professional demeanor is essential.
• Punctuality and reliability are critical for this role.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required time frames and physical ability to perform CPR/AED during medical emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, frequently engaging in various physical movements such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, and grasping.
• Capacity to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to communicate continuously in person or by phone during shifts.
• Maintain the physical capability to administer CPR in emergency situations.
• Adequate vision and hearing capabilities, with or without correction.
