Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team in a full-time, daytime position. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a remarkable “Judgement Free” experience for all. Bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and welcome.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
• Check in members, provide tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby.
• Perform regular facility maintenance tasks, including mopping spills, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are regularly cleaned.
• Keep restrooms and wet areas clean and well-stocked.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Successful applicants must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent on a satisfactory outcome.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills with an ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Maintain an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-specified timeframes and be physically capable of performing CPR/AED in a medical emergency.

Physical Demands/Requirements:
