Job description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Member Services Representative to join our team on a full-time, day shift basis. In this pivotal role, you will deliver exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a consistently outstanding "Judgement Free" experience. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

  • Warmly greet members and guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and welcome through exceptional service.
  • Answer telephone inquiries in a friendly manner while assisting callers with a diverse range of questions.
  • Manage member check-ins, conduct tours for prospective members, facilitate new memberships, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to all individuals on-site.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Process beverage and merchandise purchases efficiently using the point of sale system.
  • Utilize the POS system to assist with membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Proactively maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby.
  • Ensure regular upkeep of the facility, including mopping spills, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
  • Perform routine cleaning of exercise equipment and tanning beds.
  • Maintain hygiene in restrooms and wet areas, ensuring they are well-stocked and clean.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Candidates for this position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check during the first week of employment. Continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
