Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative to join our team in a full-time overnight position. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering outstanding customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an exceptional "Judgement Free" experience. Bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish are particularly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

  • Welcome members and guests, providing exemplary customer service to make everyone feel comfortable and valued.
  • Answer phone inquiries in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members in, provide tours, register new members, and manage amenities while communicating updates and events to members and guests.
  • Address member inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby by going above and beyond in your cleaning efforts.
  • Ensure regular cleaning and upkeep of the facility, including mopping spills, trash removal, and cleaning windows and mirrors, as well as re-racking weights.
  • Perform routine cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
  • Conduct regular cleaning and stocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Candidates for the overnight position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire. Continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory outcome of the background check.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • An upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor is essential.
  • Punctuality and reliability are critical.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification in accordance with company requirements and possess the physical capability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
