Job description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Member Services Representative to join our team in a full-time overnight capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering an exceptional level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a supportive and “Judgement Free” experience for all. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests warmly, providing outstanding customer service that makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
• Answer phone inquiries in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a range of questions.
• Check in members, conduct tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events effectively.
• Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with issuing new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby, going above and beyond in upkeep.
• Conduct regular facility cleaning and maintenance, including mopping spills, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure cleanliness of all exercise equipment and tanning beds on a regular basis.
• Perform routine cleaning and stocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Candidates for the overnight position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Maintain an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor at all times.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential to this role.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the timelines set by the company, and retain the physical capability to perform CPR/AED in medical emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, frequently bending, kneeling, crouching, and performing repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate amounts of weight (up to 50 lbs).
• Able to converse continually in person or over the phone throughout shifts.
• Maintain physical readiness to administer CPR in case of emergencies.
• Adequate vision in the normal range, with or without correction.
• Adequate hearing in the normal audio range, with or without correction.
