Job description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Member Services Representative to become an integral member of our team! In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, thereby ensuring an outstanding "Judgement Free" experience for all. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Warmly greet members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to foster a comfortable and welcoming environment.
• Answer phone inquiries in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a diverse range of questions.
• Efficiently check in members, give tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to both members and guests.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage and merchandise transactions through the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system for tasks such as issuing new membership cards, handling address changes, and addressing billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain the front desk and lobby areas in a clean and orderly manner, going above and beyond to enhance the club’s appearance.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Ensure restrooms and wet areas are consistently cleaned and well-stocked.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidates applying for the overnight position must be willing to undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Exceptional customer service abilities, demonstrating a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Possess an upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are crucial.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the company’s specified time frames and possess the physical capability to administer CPR/AED if necessary.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, frequently performing actions such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
• Capable of continuous verbal communication in person or on the phone during shifts.
• Maintain the physical ability to perform CPR in an emergency situation.
• Adequate vision, with or without correction, to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Ability to hear within the normal audio range, with or without correction.
