Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Member Services Representative to join our team during weekday mornings from 5:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, all while fostering a “Judgement Free” environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

  • Welcome members and guests by providing outstanding customer service, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Answer phone inquiries in a friendly manner while assisting callers with a range of questions.
  • Check in members, conduct tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events effectively.
  • Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Facilitate beverage or merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
  • Manage membership-related transactions, including issuing new cards and addressing billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby by performing proactive cleaning tasks.
  • Conduct regular facility upkeep, which includes mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
  • Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are cleaned consistently.
  • Regularly clean and stock restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Candidates must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent upon satisfactory results.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Exhibit an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Obtain CPR/AED certification within the company-mandated timeframe and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands and Requirements:
