We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time basis, specifically during weekend and afternoon shifts. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exemplary customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an outstanding "Judgement Free" experience. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and Spanish, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Duties:

  • Welcome members and guests with exceptional service, fostering a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
  • Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a wide range of inquiries.
  • Check in members, conduct facility tours, enroll new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
  • Utilize the POS system for tasks such as issuing new membership cards, updating addresses, and handling billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Uphold a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby by going above and beyond expectations.
  • Regularly clean and maintain the facility, including mopping spills, removing trash, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
  • Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are regularly cleaned.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Candidates for this position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues to exceed expectations.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A positive, upbeat, and professional demeanor is essential.
  • Punctuality and reliability are critical.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within designated time frames and maintain the physical capability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands & Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and repetitive hand motions are required.
  • Capability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone throughout the shift.
  • Maintain the physical ability to administer CPR in medical emergencies.
  • Adequate vision and hearing capabilities, with or without correction.
