We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative for a part-time position during weekends and afternoons to join our dynamic team at Planet Fitness. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service to our members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a truly remarkable “Judgement Free” experience. Bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:

  • Warmly greet members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly manner and assist with various inquiries.
  • Check in members, conduct facility tours, assist with new memberships, log amenities, and communicate updates and events effectively.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Process beverage and merchandise sales using the point-of-sale system.
  • Utilize the POS system for membership card issuance, address changes, and billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
  • Conduct regular cleaning of the facility, including mopping spills, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
  • Ensure regular cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
  • Keep restrooms and wet areas clean and fully stocked.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Candidates for the position are required to submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment. Continued employment will depend on a satisfactory outcome.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and a positive, professional demeanor in interactions with members and coworkers.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Exhibit an upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required timeframe, with the capability to perform CPR/AED in medical emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods and to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, and engage in repetitive hand motions.
