Job description:

We are currently seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team on a full-time overnight schedule. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering an outstanding level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, thereby fostering an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Operations:

  • Warmly greet members and guests, ensuring that each individual feels comfortable and welcomed.
  • Answer phone calls courteously, providing assistance for a variety of inquiries.
  • Check in members, conduct tours, facilitate new member sign-ups, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Process beverage or merchandise purchases utilizing the point-of-sale system.
  • Use the POS system to assist members with obtaining new membership cards, updating addresses, and addressing billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby, striving for a pristine environment.
  • Perform regular facility maintenance tasks, including mopping spills, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
  • Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are cleaned regularly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Candidates for the overnight position must complete a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively and professionally with both members and co-workers.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A positive, upbeat, and professional demeanor is essential.
  • Punctuality and reliability are critical.
  • Candidates must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the timeframes established by the company and possess the physical capability to perform CPR/AED if needed.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
