Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Member Services Representative to become a vital member of our team! We encourage bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish to apply. In this role, you will be responsible for filling in as needed while delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, thereby ensuring a remarkable “Judgment Free” experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Operations:
– Warmly greet members and guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
– Answer phone calls kindly, assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
– Manage member check-ins, provide facility tours, enroll new members, log amenities, and update members and guests on important events and announcements.
– Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
– Facilitate beverage and merchandise sales using the point-of-sale system.
– Utilize the POS system for processing new membership cards, change of address requests, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
– Maintain a pristine front desk area and lobby, going above and beyond to ensure cleanliness and organization.
– Conduct regular facility cleaning and maintenance tasks including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
– Perform routine cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
– Ensure restrooms and wet areas are cleaned and stocked regularly.

Qualifications & Requirements:
– Availability to pick up necessary shifts as required.
– Candidates for overnight positions must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with ongoing employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
– Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues to exceed expectations.
– Prior customer service experience is preferred.
– Must be at least 18 years of age.
– High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
– A positive, upbeat, and professional demeanor is essential.
– Punctuality and reliability are critical.
– Certification in CPR/AED must be obtained and maintained, with physical capability to perform CPR in an emergency situation.

Physical Demands/Requirements:
– Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and making repetitive hand motions may be required.
– Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
