Job description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Member Services Representative to join our team in a part-time, floater role. Bilingual applicants fluent in both English and Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply. In this position, you will be responsible for filling in shifts as needed while delivering an exceptional level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a truly "Judgement Free" experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to create a welcoming environment.
• Answer incoming calls in a courteous manner, assisting callers with various inquiries.
• Check in members, conduct facility tours, enroll new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events effectively.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns.
• Handle beverage and merchandise transactions using the point of sale (POS) system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership card issuance, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
• Perform routine cleaning and upkeep, including mopping spills, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure regular cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Conduct thorough cleaning and restocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have significant availability to pick up necessary shifts.
• Candidates applying for overnight positions must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment. Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of this check.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
