Position Details:
– Work schedule is Monday through Friday, beginning at 7 AM until completion of daily tasks.
– Compensation is $18 per hour.
– The role requires the use of a company vehicle.

Position Summary:
The Merchandiser is accountable for pricing and organizing product displays in customer stores. This position reports directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing the assigned geographical area. The Merchandiser may hold a permanent position or serve as a temporary Sales Trainee as part of their ongoing sales training program.

Position Responsibilities:
– Provide training and support to new merchandisers on effective pricing and store shelving organization.
– Collaborate with customers to create store layouts as required, place orders using a Telxon unit, coordinate deliveries, and physically merchandise products.
– Submit appropriate forms for employee reimbursements, including travel, auto, gas, per diem, and lodging.
– Participate in the company’s annual trade shows by assisting with the setup and dismantling of convenience store displays.
– Document unsalable merchandise during store resets to ensure customers receive proper credit.
– Assist in the delivery and unloading of orders and returns as necessary.
– Aid the Merchandising Manager in maintaining inventory of merchandising supplies, including mylar tags, peg hooks, price guns, and labels.
– Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
– 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience.
– Access to a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
– Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
– Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
– Strong oral and written communication skills.
– Excellent customer service skills.
– Prior merchandising and/or retail experience.
– Physical requirements include frequent lifting of products weighing between 5-25 lbs, with potential lifting of cases or totes weighing up to 70 lbs throughout the day.
