Job description:

Are you a natural leader with a passion for merchandising? As a Team Lead, you will oversee a merchandising team on-site, guiding them through special projects such as resets, remodels, and new store executions, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the designated timeline and budget. Your role will involve fostering collaboration among the team, store operations, and construction during projects while upholding both our company’s and the retailer’s standards. Although our corporate office is based in Tampa, FL, we are actively seeking Merchandising Team Leads across the nation and are hiring immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a representative of Apollo and embody our values in every interaction.
  • Foster a positive work environment by encouraging open communication.
  • Uphold and support Apollo’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular communication with the District Manager and Project Manager.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with DM/PM to address challenges.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Coach and monitor team performance to achieve project objectives.
  • Recognize, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues among team members promptly.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and report any accidents swiftly.
  • Complete projects within or below the budgeted hours.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of merchandising experience, including team leadership.
  • Ability to accurately interpret planograms and other retail documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork.
  • Proficient knowledge of fixtures and anchoring systems.
  • Forklift and scissor lift certifications are advantageous.
  • Must possess reliable transportation, necessary tools, and a smart device for reporting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer operations.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time, including possible nights and weekends.
  • Open to daily and/or overnight travel as required.
  • Capability to stand, bend, kneel for extended periods, and lift weights exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Regularly climb and descend ladders as part of project execution.
