Job description:
The Network/Systems Administrator II will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the CMS and CoventBridge Group’s network and systems teams to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for security controls related to network communication and systems operations. This position involves providing technical assistance and support to resolve network and system-related issues effectively. The administrator will be responsible for planning and implementing security measures for the network/server infrastructure, ensuring adherence to ARS control sets in collaboration with management.
Additionally, this role includes monitoring regulatory changes, assisting with their implementation, and supporting the reporting and auditing of CBG’s data networks. The successful candidate will implement methods for enhancing and establishing controls for critical processes, manage day-to-day operational activities such as overseeing network security rules, email policies, and endpoint protections, all while juggling strategic project initiatives and leading a team of network engineers. The position also entails maintaining existing security systems, implementing new features, performing upgrades, and managing technical configurations and policies across various technologies.
Collaboration with internal customers and external vendors will be essential to ensure the smooth execution of projects as directed by senior project management. This role is critical in fulfilling CoventBridge Group’s objective to exceed client expectations and contribute to improved healthcare delivery by identifying and eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse.
Reporting directly to the VP of IT Application Development & Operations, this position offers the opportunity to work remotely or from our office in Grove City, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to support network procurement and development efforts in alignment with Enterprise Integration best practices.
- Monitor and assess network performance, providing relevant statistics and reports.
- Perform comprehensive network security analyses and packet flow modeling.
- Collaborate with executive team members and stakeholders to define business requirements and system objectives while identifying and resolving business systems challenges.
- Implement and configure security products for each agency, including vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection tools, firewalls, VPNs, and network access control.
- Liaise effectively with diverse technical teams across various disciplines, such as development and engineering.
- Participate in the migration, configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Demonstrate experience with Ethernet and IP networking, facilitating mapping of large multi-region connectivity.
- Establish and refine best practices while maintaining operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements as necessary.
- Attend scheduled meetings to update on testing progress and findings.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by IT management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with IDS reporting frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud implementations such as AWS, alongside corresponding onsite virtualization frameworks like VMware or Xen.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management systems such as AUVIK, Zabbix, and Nagios.
- Experience with network storage frameworks in both cloud (AWS) and onsite (local attached storage) environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and related management tools, including MS Intune.
- IP telephony experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to conduct network security audits and plan network upgrades.
Educational/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Network and IT.
- Previous experience providing reporting to senior leadership.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 annually. This range reflects the compensation we believe to be fair for the role at the time of this posting; however, we may ultimately offer a different amount based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical location, performance, and organizational needs.
