Job description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to serve as a New Hire Orientation Specialist, responsible for conducting employee orientations, training sessions, and onboarding programs. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience, demonstrate strong presentation skills, and have the ability to engage effectively with new hires while guiding them on company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct employee orientations and onboarding programs, ensuring that new hires receive comprehensive training and guidance.
  • Prepare and submit state/city board security applications daily; coordinate licensing activities with supervisors and issue guard cards upon receipt, while notifying management of any irregularities encountered in the licensing process.
  • Assist with all aspects of recruitment, including screening, interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new employees, while preparing necessary paperwork for personnel files.
  • Maintain applicant logs and coordinate the application process with administrative staff.
  • Process corporate affirmative action reports and other personnel reports, tracking relevant metrics and advising management of any adverse impacts regarding hiring, transfers, promotions, or terminations.
  • Maintain accurate records of officer training and assist with payroll and benefits administration while reconciling related records.
  • Record and manage associate information, such as personal and tax data, benefits data, attendance, performance evaluations, and termination details.
  • Update and maintain confidential personnel files to document actions and provide information for payroll and other uses.
  • Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in line with the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Reliable means of communication (cell phone or pager) and transportation (public or private).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, which includes a drug screen and background investigation.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. with two years of related experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Competencies:

  • Understanding of human resources administration processes and standard office procedures.
  • Proficient in office productivity software and capable of performing mathematical computations relevant to job functions.
  • Strong interviewing skills and ability to write original correspondence.
