Job description:
The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in the preparation and completion of all Night Audit tasks, overseeing front desk operations during the overnight shift, typically from 11 PM to 7 AM. This position entails a range of responsibilities, including registering guests, managing reservations, producing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field is required.

Responsibilities:

- Follow all Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.

- Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
- Generate all required reports for the Food and Beverage audit.
- Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures on a daily basis.
- Balance daily activities, including movie revenue, telephone postings, valet laundry, server, and desk agent paperwork.
- Adhere to cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures and Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
- Ensure proper operation of the Front Office computer system in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
- Manage all Front Office functions during the designated overnight hours.
- Oversee periodic checks by the Midnight House Attendant to ensure building and guest corridors are secured.
- Address and follow through on all guest requests while on shift.
- Adhere to safety and emergency protocols as outlined by Aimbridge Hospitality.
- Maintain proper record-keeping, including log books, in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
- Familiarize with all company policies and house rules.
- Prepare initial direct billing documents and ensure appropriate documentation is attached.
- Maintain radio communication with fellow associates throughout the shift.
- Possess a working knowledge of security procedures.
- Ensure associates consistently exhibit attentiveness, friendliness, helpfulness, and courtesy towards all guests, management, and fellow associates.
- Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as necessary.
- Facilitate the transfer of master or house accounts when needed.
- Disseminate work (e.g., revenue printouts, charge, and paid folios, vouchers, and checks) as delineated by standard operating procedures.
- Train new Night Auditors as required by management.
- Execute morning reports according to Aimbridge Hospitality procedures.
- Manage daily newspaper delivery and Express Check-Outs.
- Ensure nightly walk-throughs include removing all room service trays and organizing pool and Jacuzzi areas as applicable.
- Process items for loss and found according to established standards.
- Complete reports as requested by management promptly.
- Undertake miscellaneous duties as needed, including resetting Food and Beverage P.O.S. systems, distributing credit ‘Watch Lists,’ and preparing daily revenue summaries.
- Assist guests with food orders and serve food and beverage items in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, employing suggestive selling techniques while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or other management personnel.
