Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated individual with at least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework in a relevant area is considered an asset. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, and the ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting principles and have strong problem-solving skills to address guest concerns and respond effectively to emergency situations. Proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing software is essential. Clear and effective communication abilities, as well as quick and accurate decision-making skills, are required to handle alternative courses of action under pressure.

The individual must be adept at addressing workplace problems proactively, including anticipating, identifying, and resolving issues as needed. A keen ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt it to meet specific needs is crucial. Comfort with financial data and basic arithmetic functions is also required. The successful candidate must handle responsibilities in a self-managed environment and be effective at listening to and clarifying concerns raised by both co-workers and guests while maintaining composure and objectivity during high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Approach all interactions with guests and associates with a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality scheduling standards, which may vary based on hotel needs.
  • Adhere to high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including proper uniform and name tag as per brand standards.
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to support safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Foster a welcoming and warm demeanor at all times.
  • Initiate and complete the End of Day process, ensuring accurate reporting for Food and Beverage audits.
  • Execute the Night Audit checklist and balance daily reports, including movie revenue, telephone postings, and any relevant paperwork.
  • Uphold cashiering responsibilities following Front Office procedures and maintain operational standards of the Front Office computer system.
  • Manage all Front Office functions during the overnight hours, maintaining vigilance over guest safety and property security.
  • Ensure all guest requests are properly handled between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., while following safety and emergency protocols.
  • Maintain detailed record-keeping activities in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Exhibit familiarity with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules.
  • Complete daily direct bill submissions and ensure all supporting documentation is attached correctly.
  • Maintain radio communication with team members throughout the shift and possess a solid understanding of security procedures.
  • Ensure associates consistently demonstrate attentiveness, friendliness, and courtesy towards all guests and fellow team members.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as required and manage the transfer of master or house accounts as necessary.
  • Distribute work and oversee the delivery of newspapers and Express Check-Outs, while ensuring nightly walkthroughs are conducted.
  • Manage lost and found items in line with established standards and complete reports as requested by management in a timely manner.
  • Be prepared to fulfill miscellaneous duties, including resetting Food and Beverage P.O.S. systems and distributing credit ‘Watch List’ reports.
  • Assist guests with food orders when applicable, ensuring timely and professional service while maintaining a clean, organized environment.
  • Attend required management meetings and perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or other management personnel.
