Job description:

We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This role entails working across multiple locations with a primary focus on order entry and customer care, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute order entry and follow-up tasks, which include new order entry, discontinuations (DCs), STAT order entry, Accuflow change logs, mail order entry, CII evaluations, data entry, work queue management, blister management, and patient admissions into the pharmacy system.
• Ensure the precise and timely input of prescription and patient information utilizing the pharmacy computer systems Framework and DocuTrack.
• Research, investigate, and troubleshoot any discrepancies related to prescription and patient data entry.
• Address and resolve order discrepancies with customers, focusing on issues such as illegible prescriptions or medication concerns.
• Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to fulfill departmental goals and objectives.
• Participate in the evaluation and ongoing enhancement of client services, policies, and procedures.
• Foster effective working relationships with co-workers and customers.
• Respond to telephone inquiries and address customer needs to meet both internal and external expectations.

Essential Skills

• Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Proficient in data entry and order entry processes.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service.
• Pharmacy technician certification.
• Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a closed-door pharmacy where technicians primarily interact with customers via telephone. Available shifts include 1st shift (9 AM – 5:30 PM), 2nd shift (3 PM – 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 7 AM). Technicians will be scheduled to work one weekend every other week, receive a weekday off when working the weekend shift, and are required to work three out of six holidays each year. The dress code is scrubs or business casual attire paired with comfortable, clean tennis shoes. Our facility is well-organized and features a front desk, an office area for order entry and pharmacists, an operations floor equipped with automated technology, an IV room, and a break room offering coffee, water, and snacks for purchase. Order entry and customer care tasks are executed entirely on a computer with a headset.

Pay and Benefits
