Join Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund in East Lansing, MI, as our Office Manager. This role is integral to a dynamic team dedicated to making a positive impact on clean water initiatives by providing support to field canvassers and program staff. This part-time position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week and can be combined with canvassing responsibilities to create a full-time opportunity.
As the Office Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office for both canvass and program staff. Key responsibilities include:
– Responding to incoming calls; screening prospective canvass applicants, scheduling interviews with the Canvass Director, communicating with candidates within a 24-hour timeframe, and taking messages for program staff.
– Coordinating recruitment activities with the Canvass Director, which includes campus outreach and recruitment, ad placements, career fairs, and other recruitment initiatives.
– Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly canvass reports.
– Managing personnel files and tracking staff benefits accrual and usage.
– Processing information requests from the public and directing them to appropriate staff members.
– Providing administrative support for programmatic activities, including processing checks, donations, and assisting with grant administration.
– Assisting in the planning of fundraising events and other development initiatives.
– Supporting communications efforts, including maintaining our presence on social media.
– Managing the stocking of canvass materials and ordering office supplies.
– Ensuring the office space is well-maintained through light cleaning and organization.
– Overseeing the maintenance of computers and printers, including backup procedures and sourcing technical support as needed.
– Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for this position include:
