Job description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated On/Off Premise Beer Sales Representative for our Cleveland, OH territory. In this role, the Beer Sales Representative will collaborate closely with distributor partners and local supplier distributor managers to achieve successful sales outcomes, drive volume growth, enhance distribution, and establish strong brand positioning within the supplier’s portfolio. The representative will manage a designated list of on-premise accounts and both large and small format off-premise accounts throughout the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities will include:

– Identifying and pursuing new distribution opportunities within the local market to upsell and secure distribution for multiple SKUs, ensuring optimal cooler visibility and effective product displays.
– Collaborating with the local distributor manager and distributor partners to align on goals and objectives while ensuring adequate product inventory and proactively addressing out-of-stock (OOS) issues.
– Providing comprehensive training to accounts on brand/products, including insights into ingredients and pairings, the brewing process, historical context, quality standards, and current market trends.
– Maintaining store shelf standards and inventory management, which includes the rotation of products, date code verification, and processing of reorders based on planogram standards.
– Selling-in and constructing brand displays in accordance with off-premise standards.
– Executing point-of-sale (POS) programs as specified.
– Assisting in the execution of impactful promotions and educational presentations, both independently and in collaboration with team members, at various accounts.
– Utilizing online databases and systems to systematically track progress within the territory.
– Ensuring open communication with both field teams and headquarters.
– Managing the budget and maintaining accurate records for monthly reconciliation.
– Upholding compliance with all alcoholic beverage regulations.

The physical requirements for this position include:

– Engaging in bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and stooping to effectively arrange and display point-of-sale materials.
– Frequently lifting and moving cases of products and other objects weighing 50 pounds or more.

Qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

– An Associate’s Degree is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
– Must be at least 21 years old.

– Previous experience in retail, on-premise, or off-premise settings is advantageous.
– Background in bartending, waiting, bar management, or as a distributor sales representative is considered a plus.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
– Residency in the assigned territory, with access to reliable transportation (a larger vehicle is preferred).
– A valid driver’s license, along with a registered and insured vehicle, and a clean driving record.
– Willingness to travel within the designated sales region.
– Ability to frequently lift and move product cases, as well as climb, kneel, and stoop when arranging and displaying point-of-sale materials.
– Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
– Strong organizational skills to manage administrative tasks in alignment with agency compliance guidelines and standards.

The base salary for this position ranges from $45,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year. The specific compensation for each employee in this role will be influenced by various factors, including prior employment history, job-related skills and qualifications, length of service, and geographic location. This position is eligible for bonuses, contingent on the terms and conditions of the applicable bonus plan.
