Position Overview
As a key member of our Precision Oncology Sales team, the Regional Oncogenomic Liaison II (ROL II) will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to enhance the utilization of our products across targeted accounts, all while adhering to budgetary and compliance regulations. This role is essential in supporting corporate objectives and effectively communicating our core selling messages. The ROL II will focus on promoting products such as Oncotype DX and RiskGuard (Hereditary Cancer Testing) and will be committed to delivering exemplary customer service, fostering key relationships to position us as the best-in-class assay provider.
The ROL II is expected to navigate complex challenges in a dynamic environment, emphasizing the importance of building and maintaining comprehensive relationships. Utilizing Exact Sciences’ CRM system, they will manage key contacts and account records to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. A deep understanding of territory-specific clinical and political issues will be crucial in formulating actionable plans.
This role involves providing critical information to facilitate the achievement of Exact Sciences’ mission, collaborating effectively with both internal and external partners to support informed decision-making at various organizational levels, including national, regional, and area teams. The ROL II will engage with managed care, reimbursement, the Exact Sciences Advocacy group, and healthcare providers to ensure access to our innovative products.
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
– Consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets within a designated territory through regular field-based engagements with healthcare providers, including oncologists and their teams.
– Selling company products and services, while developing new partnerships and deepening existing accounts.
– Demonstrating proficient territory management, including strategic planning and implementation.
– Maintaining a comprehensive and actionable understanding of competitors and market trends influencing customer product utilization.
– Crafting and executing a highly strategic tactical plan to optimize product usage in key accounts while remaining budget-conscious and supporting corporate objectives.
– Completing all training programs to gain proficiency with genomic testing concepts and Exact Sciences’ Precision Oncology products.
– Dedicating the necessary effort to maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant disease states associated with our products, as well as the competitive landscape.
– Upholding excellence in performance and pursuing continuous self-improvement, establishing the ROL as a valuable contributor well beyond sales metrics.
– Participating in various sales meetings and professional conferences across the U.S. as required. Close collaboration with sales management and marketing will be critical to effectively communicate product sales strategies.
– Cultivating relationships with national opinion leaders in oncology and pathology within the target territory.
– Integrating feedback constructively and demonstrating strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
– Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization.
– Committing to a designated work schedule while maintaining regular attendance.

– Traveling approximately 75% of working time away from the primary work location, which may include overnight or weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or a related field, or a minimum of four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
– A minimum of five years of successful sales experience promoting complex products in medical oncology, diagnostics, or related healthcare fields.
– At least one year of experience in oncology, either through the sale of chemotherapy/immunotherapy or diagnostic technologies.
– Proven track record of success within the diagnostic space, demonstrating exemplary sales performance.
– Valid driver’s license with no disqualifying events in the last 36 months.
– Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
– Clinical experience or familiarity with oncology-related diagnostics.
– Experience selling to providers within cancer centers and established relationships within major oncology and surgical accounts in the territory.
– Knowledge of NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease, comprehensive genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, and hereditary cancer.
We offer an attractive annual salary range of $130,000.00 – $196,000.00 for this position, which is based on a full-time commitment in Cleveland, OH. In addition, this role is bonus-eligible and may qualify for company stock options at hire and annually thereafter.
