The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in the school-based operations team, reporting to the Director of School Operations. This full-time position is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school. As the public face of the school, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to students, families, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include managing the front desk, coordinating transportation requests, ensuring accurate student attendance, maintaining safety procedures for students and staff, and organizing shared workspaces.

Key Responsibilities:

– Maintain a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing school environment.
– Provide daily tactical support in areas such as transportation, child nutrition, food services, technology, and facility maintenance to ensure an efficient front office.
– Collaborate closely with technology vendors to ensure proper functioning of technology and infrastructure, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
– Cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders, including staff from Nationwide Children’s Hospital, custodial staff, safety and security personnel, food service employees, and outside vendors.
– Ensure all school locations are organized and clutter-free, prepared to receive visitors.
– Assist the Director of Operations in overseeing the school’s auxiliary services, such as transportation and food services, as well as vendor relationships.
– Conduct bus counts, communicate with parents regarding transportation changes, and distribute transportation tags to students.
– Support daily attendance initiatives by contacting households of absent students to facilitate their return, aiming for a 95% average daily attendance, while offering support to families facing challenges.
– Implement a daily tardy system for students and accurately input tardy information into the school database.
– Manage incoming and outgoing mail and shipments.
– Answer phone calls, redirect inquiries as appropriate, and relay messages to staff efficiently.
– Oversee daily administrative operations while resolving front office issues as they arise.
– Execute additional duties as assigned.

Our teacher salary scale is linked, with a starting salary of $50,000 for educators with one year of teaching experience, along with appreciation stipends for those with 5 and 10 years of service at KIPP Columbus.
