This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional in facilities management and business services to step into the role of Operations Manager with IST Management. The successful candidate will lead and develop multiple teams of business support professionals across various client sites in the Cleveland, Ohio area. This position entails taking ownership of client communications and relationships, including participating in off-site networking and entertainment functions. The Operations Manager will be dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients and fostering upward mobility for our talented workforce. The Operations Manager position is full-time and salaried, operating Monday to Friday during standard business hours. The role will necessitate travel to visit 4 to 10 client sites in the Cleveland area every 1 to 2 weeks, with some remote work involved. The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and developing business support teams at client sites, while taking ownership of client communications and relationships, including participation in off-site networking and entertainment activities. The role involves ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients and supporting the career advancement of employees. Key responsibilities include:
– Traveling to 4 to 10 client sites in the Cleveland area on a bi-weekly basis
– Collaborating with corporate support teams to sustain IST Management’s growth; attending sales appointments; partnering with corporate recruiting and site leadership to manage on-site and off-site recruitment, training, and retention
– Maintaining effective written and oral communications with clients, employees, and leadership; providing reports as necessary
– Prioritizing work and allocating staff to meet customer demands for timely service delivery and quality across various areas, including facilities services, mailroom and copy center operations, corporate hospitality, janitorial services, event planning and execution, and vendor management
– Managing contract renewals and amendments with clients; overseeing budget and expense control
– Maximizing productivity through the efficient application of standard operating procedures and the development and implementation of new best practices
– Assisting in new site start-ups outside the home state, as needed; traveling to other locations occasionally to manage sites
– Participating in cross-training for other functions and fulfilling additional tasks as assigned
Candidates must possess at least three years of experience managing multiple accounts in facilities management or business office services, with proven experience leading teams of ten or more. Additional qualifications include:
– Proficient in computer applications and digital literacy, particularly with an advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– Knowledge of supervisory techniques for effective employee management, motivation, and training; ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
– Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities for problem resolution
– A valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation, particularly to sites not served by public transport routes
– Capability to lift up to 55 pounds, stand for extended periods, and engage in significant walking
– A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; candidates must also be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
