This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional in facilities management and business services to join IST Management as an Operations Manager. In this role, you will lead and develop multiple teams of business support professionals across various client sites in the Cleveland, Ohio area. You will take ownership of client communications and relationships, attending off-site networking and entertainment functions to foster strong connections. Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of experience managing multiple accounts in facilities management or business office services operations for various clients, as well as experience leading a team of 10 or more professionals.
The Operations Manager position is a full-time, salaried role, with a schedule from Monday to Friday during regular business hours. The successful candidate will visit 4 to 10 client sites in the Cleveland area every 1 to 2 weeks, with the ability to perform related work remotely. Flexibility is required for on-site coverage as needed, as well as for attending off-site networking events, which may occasionally include evenings and weekends. A reliable means of transportation is essential, particularly to locations not served by public transportation.
While the compensation for this position varies based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, the approximate salary range is between $85,000 and $100,000 per year. Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and develop teams of business support professionals at client sites throughout the Cleveland area, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
– Take ownership of client relationships and communication, including participation in networking and entertainment functions.
– Collaborate with corporate support teams to facilitate sustained growth and assist in the recruitment, training, and retention of staff.
– Maintain effective written and verbal communication with clients, employees, and leadership, including reporting.
– Prioritize tasks and allocate staff appropriately to meet customer needs for on-time service delivery and quality assurance in facilities operations, mailroom services, corporate hospitality, janitorial services, event planning, vendor management, and more.
– Oversee contract renewals and amendments directly with clients while managing budgets and expenses.
– Enhance productivity through the implementation of standard operating procedures and new best practices.
– Participate in site start-ups outside of the home state, as necessary, and may occasionally travel to other locations for site management.
– Engage in cross-training for various functions and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
– A minimum of three years of experience in managing multiple accounts in facilities management or business office services operations, along with experience leading teams of 10 or more.
– Proficiency in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office suite.
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
– Knowledge of effective supervisory techniques for managing, motivating, and training employees; ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
– Strong attention to detail with critical thinking skills for problem resolution.
– Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, particularly to locations not accessible by public transit.
– Capacity to lift up to 55 pounds, endure long periods of standing, and manage significant walking requirements.
– A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
