Job description:
We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. This role entails performing various data entry tasks within our pharmacy system to ensure the accurate and timely input of prescriptions and patient information. We offer multiple shifts: 1st shift (9 AM – 5:30 PM), 2nd shift (3 PM – 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 7 AM).
Responsibilities:
- Input new orders, discontinuations (DCs), and STAT orders into the pharmacy system.
- Manage Accuflow change logs, mail order entries, CII evaluations, work queues, blister management, and patient admissions.
- Ensure precise and prompt entry of prescription and patient information utilizing the pharmacy computer system, Framework/DocuTrack.
- Investigate, follow up on, and resolve discrepancies in prescription and patient data entries.
- Address order discrepancies with customers, including issues linked to illegible prescriptions and possible medication concerns.
- Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Assist in the evaluation and continuous enhancement of client services, policies, and procedures.
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service over the phone to meet client expectations.
Essential Skills:

Work Environment:
The position is situated in a closed-door pharmacy where technicians primarily interact with customers over the phone rather than face-to-face. Technicians will be required to work one weekend every other week, with a weekday off when assigned a weekend shift. Additionally, there is an expectation to work three of the six holidays each year. The dress code mandates scrubs or business casual attire along with clean, comfortable tennis shoes. All order entry and customer care tasks are conducted on a computer using a headset. Familiarity with computers, effective use of a headset, and multitasking capabilities are advantageous. Our facility is pristine and organized, featuring a front desk, an office area for order entry and pharmacists, an operations floor with automated equipment and shelving for refills, computer screens displaying orders, an IV room, and a break room offering coffee, water, and snacks for purchase.
Pay and Benefits:
