In this role, you will plan, direct, and supervise team members in the daily operations across various departments within the store. As a mentor and coach, you will implement strategies to enhance customer service, drive sales, and ensure that customer needs are met with efficiency. You will also maintain the store’s appearance, emphasizing optimal shopping hours, product presentation, and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive company image by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and team members.
  • Oversee staffing, selection, and hiring efforts to meet departmental needs.
  • Promote succession planning by facilitating career development, identifying training needs, and participating in promotion decisions.
  • Document and enforce disciplinary actions, making recommendations regarding employee discharges as necessary.
  • Manage profit and loss responsibilities, achieve sales targets, and maintain appropriate shrink levels for the department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant retail experience.
  • Minimum one year of management experience.
  • Experience in various store areas, such as meat, bakery, produce, and deli, along with customer service and product flow, is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members to provide clear and precise guidance.
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution by addressing root causes.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience in mentoring team members across all organizational levels, including SDITs, hourly staff, and team leaders.
  • Successful completion of all required certifications.
