P/C Customer Service Support Analyst

Overview
The objective of the P/C Customer Service Support Analyst role is to represent Property/Casualty Customer Service (PCCS) on corporate and departmental projects. This position will assist with the study, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of PCCS, as well as corporate and agency billing systems, programs, and procedures, with a specific focus on billings and Property/Casualty products. The analyst will also facilitate training on corporate system functions for both internal personnel and field representatives. Additionally, the role entails making recommendations for procedural and workflow improvements, including the development of business specifications and cost-benefit analyses, and performing quality control audits of PCCS functions to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities
The P/C Customer Service Support Analyst will participate in ongoing corporate and departmental projects, assisting in managing sub-teams comprised of business/product owners, subject matter experts, and technical representatives as necessary to elicit and document requirements. This will be accomplished through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and task and workflow analysis. The analyst will assist with software user acceptance testing and coordination to guarantee a seamless implementation of changes and will communicate project status and progress to management and relevant personnel. Furthermore, the role involves preparing, documenting, and maintaining up-to-date procedural documentation regarding processing functions for PCCS and other users. The analyst will develop an in-depth understanding of departmental processes, industry standards, regulations, procedures, and Farm Bureau product lines and software, while driving and challenging business areas on their assumptions and the successful execution of their testing plans.

Qualifications
Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a focus in insurance, business administration, finance, or management, or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • One to two years of experience in the insurance industry or a related field.
  • Familiarity with project methodologies.
  • A P/C Resident Producer License is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience with functional and system design specifications development.
  • Background with Farm Bureau Insurance products and billing systems.
  • A commitment to pursuing ongoing job-related training and education.

Preferred:

  • Experience in project management techniques.
  • A technical background with experience in Farm Bureau systems.
  • Experience in managing small to medium-sized projects.
  • A track record in process improvement.
  • Experience working with property/casualty products.

Note: This position may require in-person training at the Farm Bureau Home Office for approximately two weeks. While this is primarily a remote work position, there is an expectation to work in the office once per month and additional days as needed.
