Job Summary:
We are hiring for positions that will commence in mid-April through May.
Available Weekend Shifts: 6 AM to 2 PM, 9 AM to 5 PM, 2 PM to 10 PM, and 5 PM to 10 PM.
Available Weekday Shifts: 6 AM to 2 PM, 9 AM to 5 PM, and 3 PM to 10 PM (with 5 PM to 10 PM exceptions on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).
Ideal for college students. Free Black Card Membership provided to all employees.
Please note: Candidates must be available to work at least one weekend day.
The Member Services Representative will play a crucial role in fostering a positive experience for our members by delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Manage all front desk-related tasks, including:
- Answering phone calls in a friendly manner and addressing various inquiries.
- Checking members into the system.
- Facilitating the sign-up process for new members.
- Leading prospective members on tours of the facility.
- Implementing necessary updates to member accounts.
- Responding promptly to member questions and concerns, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as required.
- Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the club.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations.
- A strong enthusiasm for fitness and health.
- Upbeat and positive demeanor.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to positively engage with members and colleagues while exceeding expectations.
- Strong listening skills, coupled with the ability to empathize and resolve issues.
- Diplomatic communication style with appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Continuous communication in person or over the phone during work hours.
