Job Summary:
This is a part-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
– Manage all front desk activities, including but not limited to:
– Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
– Checking IDs and member barcodes into the system.
– Facilitating new member sign-ups.
– Conducting tours of the club for prospective members.
– Assisting with necessary updates to members’ accounts.
– Responding to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and escalating issues to the Assistant Club Manager as needed.
– Helping to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the club.
– Monitoring safety and hygiene standards within the facility.
– Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and gym floor areas.
– Restocking locker rooms with necessary supplies and paper products.
– Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment (including toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, and gym equipment) to the Club Manager.
– Following the “Lost and Found Policy” and promptly turning in lost member property to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:
– A background in customer service is preferred.
– Basic computer proficiency is required.
– A passion for fitness and health is essential.
– An upbeat and positive attitude at all times.
– Punctuality and reliability are crucial.
– Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to positively and professionally engage with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
– Strong listening skills, combined with the ability to empathize and resolve issues effectively.
– Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
– A High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
– Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Demands:
– Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
– Regularly engaging in conversation with members and answering incoming calls.
– Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
– Use of cleaning chemicals during shifts to maintain cleanliness.
– Cleaning and sanitizing frequently used equipment and surfaces within the club.
– Monitoring club activities and providing assistance to members throughout the duration of the shift.
