Job description:

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian (Hourly-Part-Time) to join our Nutrition Team at an acute care medical center situated in Grand Blanc, MI. The position requires availability for 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy, which includes assessing nutritional needs, modifying diets, delivering nutrition education, and implementing interventions tailored to our patient population.
  • Adhere to all guidelines specified in the Company Diet Manual and follow the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards set forth by federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while upholding facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
  • Train and mentor patient services staff and interns as appropriate.
  • Engage in patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and organization-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.

Qualifications:

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board in states where required.
  • A minimum of one year of hospital experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical record systems, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software.
