Sunstates Security is currently seeking a part-time Flex Security Officer in the Bowling Green, OH area. The ideal candidate must be available to work all days and shifts as required. This position offers a competitive starting pay rate of $19 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license
• Availability to work all days and shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Prior customer service experience
• Prior security experience
• Familiarity with de-escalation techniques is advantageous

A Security Officer will perform a variety of responsibilities as outlined in the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The officer must thoroughly read and understand all directives to respond to situations effectively and efficiently.

Flex Officer Role Explanation
The Flex Officer position is vital to our operational and financial success. Flex officers provide trained and competent support by filling shifts that become available due to various reasons, including illness, absences, inclement weather, or vacations. This role ensures that Sunstates Security can maintain continuous, uninterrupted service for our clients while preserving the health and work-life balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations
The scheduling criteria for a flex officer are distinct from those assigned to fixed posts. As a flex officer:

• You will receive training at multiple posts and/or facilities according to operational requirements. While you may work at a particular location for an extended period based on needs, it will not be a permanent arrangement.
• Your schedule, including shifts, days off, and weekly hours, will fluctuate based on operational demands.
• You will either be assigned shifts or presented with opportunities to accept shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• Some shifts will be scheduled in advance, and you will receive the new week’s schedule accordingly. Occasionally, you might receive short-notice calls to cover shifts for absent staff.
• It is expected that you will work any pre-scheduled shifts within your indicated availability. If you anticipate being unavailable on a date or time within your availability, you must communicate this to your supervisor to avoid scheduling conflicts.

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to accept a minimum of 80% of the shifts for which you are contacted. Refusing more than 20% of such shifts could adversely affect your employment status with the company.
