Assisted Self Check Out
– Demonstrates the capability to monitor and identify customers requiring assistance across multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
– Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend appropriate products and services.
– Engages with numerous customers on various registers concurrently, providing assistance and support.
– Moves throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and relocating products to ensure efficient transaction completion.
– Expresses gratitude to customers for their business and invites them to return to shop at Lowe’s.
Customer Service
– Consistently delivers exemplary customer service by adhering to Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
– Actively seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in the location, demonstration, selection, carrying, and loading of merchandise.
– Listens attentively and responds knowledgeably to inquiries from customers and employees, guiding them through store areas and projects as needed.
– Demonstrates genuine appreciation for customers through personalized interactions.
– Communicates vital information regarding stock availability, special orders, product features, applications, and warranty details related to Lowe’s offerings.

Clean and Safe Stores
– Obtains safety bags from the cash office and monitors cash drawer balances to ensure compliance with regulations.
– Observes merchandise moving in and out of store entrances and assists customers or associates who trigger alarms.
– Identifies common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, promptly reporting them to management or Asset Protection.
– Upholds compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain store cleanliness and organization.
– Maintains a safe and secure work environment, including conducting daily safety inspections, noting hazards, ensuring clear aisles, and securing doors and gates.
– Adheres to all relevant safety requirements in job duties, including top stock safety, reinstallation of safety cables, use of aisle blockers, tether lines on power equipment, and safety devices.
– Operates store equipment as necessary based on departmental role (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compactor baler).
General
– In addition to the above responsibilities, the individual will be accountable for other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
– Less than one year of experience utilizing a computer for tasks such as inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
– Less than one year of experience with common retail technology, including smartphones and tablets.
– One to two years of retail experience as a cashier.
– Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferences:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– One to two years of experience in identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explanations of warranties, product features, and benefits.
– One to two years of experience as a head cashier.
– One to two years of experience in any department at a Lowe’s retail store.
– One to two years of supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees.
– Less than one year of retail experience in detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside containers, under carts, or switched price labels).
