POSITION SUMMARY:
We are excited to offer a position for a Shift Lead at our retail location at 45153 Market St, Shelby Township, MI 48315. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional 5.11 brand experience, cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving store sales objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
DELIVER OVERALL BRAND EXPERIENCE
– Direct and exemplify 5.11’s Values, Mission, and Service standards to provide an elevated customer experience.
– Collaborate closely with the 5.11 Tactical Merchandising team to coordinate merchandising updates, identify opportunities, and support long-term strategies.
– Lead and delegate tasks related to merchandise processing, replenishment, and recovery of sales floor standards.
– Ensure alterations and embellishments are executed as per departmental specifications.
– Model an efficient and satisfying cash-wrap experience.
– Maintain a neat, clean, and professional store environment through diligent housekeeping.
– Under the guidance of the Store Manager, monitor and follow up on sales goals, plans, and budgets to optimize profitability.
– Assist with reductions, price changes, and merchandise transfers.
– Unload deliveries, process merchandise, and label items with security tags.
– Adhere to safety and security protocols to prevent loss and ensure the safety of employees and customers.
– Possess a working knowledge of all company systems utilized in-store.
BUILD CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS
– Foster an environment with a 100% focus on customer satisfaction.
– Model effective selling behaviors to build customer relationships and brand loyalty.
– Support the use of store tools and systems for nurturing customer relationships.
ACHIEVE RESULTS
– Take accountability for store and individual sales goals.
– Assist in attracting, recruiting, hiring, and training high-caliber leadership service specialists.
– Evaluate team performance and provide feedback through both formal and informal methods, ensuring a cohesive and positive environment.
– Develop and manage the store labor schedule.
– Help oversee and manage store controllable expenses.
– Safeguard the store’s assets through the implementation of loss prevention practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this role successfully, an individual should possess the following credentials:
– Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree and/or 2-4 years of retail experience, preferably in apparel.
– Previous management or supervisory experience in a retail environment.
– Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and drive customer loyalty.
– Proven capacity to assess talent and manage team performance effectively.
– Strong business acumen with strategic and analytical skills.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels within the organization.
– Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
– Ability to stand, lift, walk, and reach overhead regularly.
– Capability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds occasionally.
– Familiarity with POS systems.
