Job description:
Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience within a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a valued team member, you will operate registers or other machinery, restock shelves, maintain store appearances, and provide exemplary service to our customers. Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 – $17.50 | Year 3 – $18.00 | Year 4 – $18.00 | Year 5 – $19.00
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to your direct leader.

Cashier Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers to enhance their shopping experience.
- Deliver feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues.
- Participate in inventory counts according to guidelines and monitor inventory for accuracy.
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
Stocker Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves and rotate products properly to ensure fresh availability for customers.
- Follow merchandising planograms to create well-displayed merchandise.
- Organize new inventory and remove or break down empty boxes.
- Operate machinery while strictly following all safety procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
- For Stockers: Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.

- Stockers must have morning availability to fulfill store operational responsibilities, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
- A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
