Position Description:
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Class A CDL Shuttle Driver to join our team at Ryder in Massillon, OH. We value the right candidate who is ready to contribute to our mission.
- Home Time: Local – Home Daily
- Shift: 1st
- Hours Per Week: 25 to 30 hours/week
- Schedule: 3 to 4 days per week
- Start Time: 8:00 AM
- Weekend Availability: Occasional Saturdays & Sundays for parts pick-up
- Compensation: Positions are paid weekly at an hourly rate of $20.00
- Training: Paid training provided
All drivers benefit from 24/7 roadside maintenance support by a Ryder trained technician, and our service employees assist in fueling our vehicles at all 800+ maintenance facilities.
- Route: Shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities
- Cargo: No-touch freight, consisting of empty trailers for equipment shuttle transfer

Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Successful completion of a Ryder drug test.
- Passing a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the past three years.
- Successful completion of a DOT physical.
- Completion of a Ryder road test.
- Valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements for the position.
- Must possess verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months of experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years of experience within the last 10 years.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- This role primarily involves the safe operation of a commercial vehicle, necessitating compliance with safety and DOT regulations, ongoing training, and a commitment to customer service.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring adherence to applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency standards.
- Identifying and mitigating safety hazards.
- Keeping accurate records and logs, along with other assigned tasks.
