Job description:

Gordon Food Service Store LLC is seeking to hire immediately for the position of Van Delivery Driver at our Cleveland, OH location. We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $16 to $18 per hour and flexible store hours, from Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 8 PM, and Sunday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Our locations are closed on major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter, allowing our employees to enjoy time with family and friends.

As a Van Delivery Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products, adhering to our standard of professionalism and safety. In this position, you will also support store operations as needed.

Responsibilities include:

Delivery:

  • Efficiently locate and pick orders for wholesale customers.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through precise and punctual deliveries of Gordon Food Service products.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle and equipment.

In-Store Duties:

  • Facilitate accurate processing of customer transactions at the point of sale while ensuring the security of assets, including cash, checks, and merchandise.
  • Receive and merchandise products, maintaining inventory rotation and product quality. Ensure compliance with end cap and planogram execution, as well as organization of top stock, freezers, coolers, and backroom areas.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of prior delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or a related field is preferred.
  • An unrestricted Standard Operator’s License is required.
  • A clean driving record is essential, with no drug or alcohol offenses in the past five years.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screening, criminal background investigation, and motor vehicle report (MVR).
  • Ability to maneuver a two-wheel cart loaded up to 350 pounds and lift items weighing up to 70 pounds is required.
