Job description:
Nino Salvaggio is currently seeking a Party Planning Associate/Curbside Shopper for our Clinton Township location.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the products and services outlined in Nino’s Party Planning Guide.
- Demonstrate proficiency in menu planning, including considerations for menu choices, common food pairings, portion sizes, quantity determination, wine pairings, ancillary items (such as flowers and balloons), and food preparation equipment rentals.
- Utilize Nino’s Party Planning Order Entry software accurately and effectively.
- Ensure all Catering and Party Planning orders are executed flawlessly from inception to delivery, focusing on order accuracy, quality, and coordination.
- Collaborate with various complementary departments (e.g., Floral, Wine, Bakery, Produce Prep, Deli) to fulfill customer orders and requests.
- Execute Fresh to Go services efficiently, including e-grocery order processing, bagging, and proper storage until delivery.
- Adhere to established procedures for communicating product substitutions to customers.
- Deliver an exceptional Fresh to Go experience by ensuring order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and prompt delivery.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service by assisting with orders, addressing inquiries, and offering appropriate suggestions.
- Stay informed about products across all departments, particularly in Gourmet to Go.
- Replenish Party Planning Guides and supplemental materials throughout the store as needed.
- Complete Responsible Alcohol Sales training and comply with all relevant guidelines, laws, and regulations.
- Accurately operate the cash register and handle customer payments when required.
- Maintain organizational standards through effective filing systems and cleanliness.
- Exhibit professionalism and composure while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Deliver orders to customers as needed.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including support in other departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Relevant event planning experience is a plus.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Background in sales and customer service is essential.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and goal orientation.
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- An excellent driving record is required.
- Ability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
