Job description:
Nino Salvaggio is currently seeking a Party Planning Associate/Curbside Shopper for our Troy location.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the products and services featured in Nino’s Party Planning Guide.
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu planning, encompassing menu choice influences, common food pairings, standard portion sizes, quantity determination, wine pairing suggestions, and the inclusion of additional items such as flowers and balloons, as well as equipment rental or food preparation needs.
- Utilize Nino’s Party Planning Order Entry software with proficiency.
- Oversee and ensure the meticulous execution of all Party Planning Guide (PPG) and catering orders from inception to completion, paying close attention to order accuracy, quality standards, and delivery logistics.
- Collaborate with complementary departments (such as Floral, Wine, Bakery, Produce Prep, Deli, etc.) to meet customer orders and requests effectively.
- Execute Fresh to Go services accurately, which include e-grocery and Fresh to Go systems, efficient shopping processes, proper grocery bagging, and appropriate storage until delivery.
- Adhere to established protocols for informing customers regarding product substitutions.
- Deliver an exceptional Fresh to Go experience by ensuring order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and efficient delivery.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, assisting customers with their orders, addressing inquiries, and making recommendations as suitable.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of products available in all departments, with a specific focus on Gourmet to Go.
- Regularly replenish Party Planning Guides and supplemental materials throughout the store.
- Complete Responsible Alcohol Sales training and comply with all relevant alcohol sales regulations, laws, and ordinances.
- Utilize the cash register accurately and process customer payments when required.
- Maintain organization by adhering to established systems for filing and cleaning tasks.
- Exhibit professionalism and composure while managing multiple tasks and working under pressure.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including support in other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Previous experience in event planning is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cash handling processes is preferred.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Experience in sales and customer service is essential.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with a focus on detail orientation, goal orientation, and follow-through.
- Positive demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; innovative and proactive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude and effective problem-solving skills.
