What the Patient Concierge contributes to Cardinal Health
The Practice Operations Management team oversees the business and administrative functions of a medical practice. In this role, the Patient Concierge serves as the initial point of contact for patients and their families at the Southwest Urology clinic. Responsibilities include greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance data, managing phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and performing additional assigned tasks. Success in this position relies heavily on strong customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
– Welcome patients and their families upon arrival.
– Manage incoming phone calls, distribute faxes, and prepare patient files.
– Schedule appointments for patients.
– Accurately receive and record patient payment transactions.
– Enter, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information.
– Obtain insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and pre-determinations.
– Process record requests from external sources.
– Scan documents into imaging software.
– Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
– Collaborate with the team to achieve related results as required.
– Ensure timely processing and reporting to meet deadlines consistently.
– Perform other functions as directed by management.
Qualifications:
– Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
– Proficient typing skills, with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
– High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
