Are you eager to join a dedicated team in the dynamic automotive industry? Adler Pelzer Group, a rapidly expanding global Tier One supplier of Acoustic NVH and Soft Trim products, is seeking a motivated Payroll & Benefits Administrator to enhance our North American HQ HR Team located in Troy, Michigan. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days in the office and two days of remote work.

The Payroll & Benefits Administrator plays a vital role in supporting payroll and employee benefit functions across our operations in the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate maintenance of payroll, timekeeping, and benefits processes, systems, and data in compliance with legal and company requirements, including garnishments, support orders, benefit enrollments, and the full cycle of employee payroll inputs, under the guidance of the Payroll Specialist.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including managing enrollments, terminations, Qualified Life Event changes, COBRA, beneficiary changes, STD/LTD, Life insurance claims, QMCOs, and 401(k) plans.
  • Support the Annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll and benefit-related software and platforms, such as Equifax.
  • Conduct audits of the benefits within the system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Cross-train and assist with centralized payroll processes for both hourly and salaried employees in accordance with pay calendars when needed.
  • Generate, maintain, and distribute reports related to Human Resources and other functions as they pertain to payroll and HRIS.
  • Accept additional assignments and responsibilities as required to support team objectives.
  • Comply with relevant QS9000/TS16949 requirements and adhere to safety and environmental (ISO 14001) policies established by the company.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience in full-cycle payroll and payroll administration.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration involving multiple providers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HRIS processes, including reporting capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Basic understanding of accounting, budgeting, and general ledger principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven project and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
