Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our fulfillment team, where you will operate automated packaging and dispensing equipment. This role is crucial in the packaging process, ensuring that medications are accurately filled, packaged, and prepared for shipment to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate automated equipment for packaging and dispensing medications.
  • Maintain proper inventory of medications in automated packing machines.
  • Fulfill bulk prescriptions and stage completed items for shipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of packages for dispatch.
  • Receive medications from suppliers and load them into automated packaging machines.
  • Monitor automated equipment for prescription filling, troubleshooting alarms as they arise.
  • Organize and package prescriptions into plastic totes by location and time of day.
  • Handle non-pill prescriptions, such as creams, ointments, inhalers, and eye drops, based on printed orders.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in data entry and medication filling.
  • Experienced in labeling and fulfillment processes.
  • Knowledgeable in pharmacy operations, with a focus on retail environments.
  • Strong inventory management skills.
  • Possess a valid Registered Pharmacy Technician certification.

Work Environment:

This position operates on the second shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The schedule requires working one weekend every other week, along with additional days off during the week after a weekend shift. Employees will also work every other holiday, culminating in three holidays per year. The dress code consists of scrubs or business casual attire, paired with clean, comfortable tennis shoes; t-shirts and leggings are not permitted. Our facility is well-organized and maintained, featuring a front desk, operational areas for order entry and pharmacists, automated equipment, an IV room, and a break area equipped with coffee, water, and snacks for purchase.

Compensation and Benefits:
