Job description:

We are urgently seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding team. This position entails collaborating across multiple locations with a primary focus on order entry, customer service, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute order entry and follow-up tasks, including new order submissions, medication discontinuations, STAT orders, Accuflow change logs, mail order entry, CII evaluations, data entry, work queue management, blister management, and patient admissions into the pharmacy system.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely entry of prescription and patient information utilizing the pharmacy computer system, Framework / DocuTrack.
  • Research, follow up, and troubleshoot discrepancies in prescription and patient data entry.
  • Address discrepancies in orders with customers, resolving issues such as illegible prescriptions or medication inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and address customer needs to meet both internal and external expectations.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a closed-door pharmacy, where interactions with customers primarily occur over the phone. Shifts include 1st shift (9 AM – 5:30 PM), 2nd shift (3 PM – 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 7 AM). Technicians will work one weekend every two weeks, accompanied by a day off during the week of their weekend shift, and are required to work three out of six holidays per year. The dress code comprises scrubs or business casual attire with comfortable, clean tennis shoes. The facility is organized and well-maintained, featuring a front desk, office area for order entry and pharmacists, an operations floor equipped with automated technology, an IV room, and a break room offering coffee, water, and snacks for purchase. All order entry and customer care tasks are conducted via computer with a headset.

Pay and Benefits:
