Job description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role offers flexibility with multiple shifts available, including 1st shift (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM). The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for order entry, follow-up, and various data entry tasks to ensure accurate and timely input of prescription and patient information. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy computer systems and the ability to resolve discrepancies in orders directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
– Execute new order entries, manage discontinuations (DCs), process STAT orders, maintain Accuflow Change logs, handle mail order entries, evaluate CII prescriptions, and perform data entry tasks as needed.
– Manage the work queue, oversee blister pack management, and facilitate patient admissions into the pharmacy system.
– Ensure precise and punctual input of prescription and patient data utilizing the Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy computer system.
– Research and troubleshoot any discrepancies in prescription/patient data entry.
– Address order discrepancies with customers, including issues related to illegible prescriptions or medication concerns.
– Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to meet departmental goals and objectives.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
– Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
– Provide exceptional customer service as needed via telephone interactions.

Essential Skills:
– Proficient in pharmacy data entry and order entry processes.
– Registered pharmacy technician with certification.
– Experience in retail pharmacy operations and fulfillment.
– Strong customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
– Capacity to multitask across multiple locations effectively.
– Proficiency with computers and the use of headsets while multitasking is advantageous.

Work Environment:
This role will be performed in a closed-door pharmacy, with no face-to-face interactions with customers; all communication will be conducted over the phone. The schedule requires working one weekend every other week with a compensatory day off during the week, as well as working every other holiday (three holidays per year). The dress code consists of scrubs or business casual attire complemented by comfortable, clean tennis shoes. The facility is well-organized and maintained, featuring a front desk, office area for order entry and pharmacists, an operations floor equipped with automated equipment and shelving for refills, an IV room, and a break room with coffee, water, and snack options for purchase. All order entry and customer care tasks are conducted exclusively on a computer with a headset.

Pay and Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to certain benefits, which may depend on job classification and duration of employment.
