We are currently seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will embody the principles of high-quality service, treating others with the respect and care that they deserve. As a resourceful and results-oriented team player, you will overcome challenges with innovative problem-solving skills.
You will be entrusted with various pharmacy-related tasks and responsibilities while adhering to established policies and guidelines, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Please note that this position does not involve providing direct care to patients. Key responsibilities include:
– Collecting drug orders from nursing stations and preparing medications under the pharmacist’s guidance.
– Delivering the correct quantities of medications to designated patient areas.
– Assisting with precise billing and reconciliation of patient medications.
– Maintaining pharmaceutical inventory in compliance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and completing necessary documentation.
– Monitoring administered doses as reflected in the Medication Administration Record and narcotics sign-out record.
– Managing forms and reports essential for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
Qualifications for this position include a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service. A solid understanding of medical terminology is essential, as you will engage in reading and updating patient charts. Proficiency in creating compounded medications, IV fluids, and nutritional mixtures is also expected.
Minimum requirements for this role are:
– High school diploma or GED equivalent.
– Current Pharmacy Technician Certification.
