As of 2023, the average hourly rate for press operators typically ranges from $16 to $22, depending on experience and skill level, with some even earning higher in certain sectors. Factors such as cost of living in Shelby, MI, and demand for skilled workers can influence wages, but $15 may not be competitive enough to attract qualified candidates, especially in a labor market that increasingly values fair compensation.
