We are looking for serious applicants who are enthusiastic about caregiving for the elderly. Our current client requires assistance from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilizing transfer assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand aids, gait belts, and slide boards.
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities, which include transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and ambulating.
  • Monitoring changes in clients’ health and coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean living environment, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
  • Managing and cleaning medical devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
  • Conducting assessments for changes in client conditions and communicating promptly with supervisors.
  • Developing and implementing meaningful activities that enhance clients’ quality of life.
  • Following scheduled routines to assist residents with repositioning.
  • Providing transportation for clients to medical appointments or shopping.
  • Completing required documentation and charting accurately.
  • Planning, shopping for, and preparing nutritious meals.
  • Offering companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures set forth by Homestead.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience.
  • Experience with medication administration.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel within a maximum radius of 25 miles.
  • Availability to work on weekends.
