Job Description
Job Title: Private Duty Caregiver
Company: Homestead
Location: Shelby Township, MI
Pay: $17 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $17 for a Private Duty Caregiver in Shelby Township, MI, is somewhat on the lower end of the pay spectrum for this role. Nationally, the average hourly wage for private caregivers tends to range between $20 to $25, depending on experience, specific duties, and geographical cost of living variations. In Michigan, wages for caregivers can vary, but many positions tend to offer similar or slightly higher rates in urban areas, particularly when involving specialized care or advanced certifications. Thus, while $17 per hour may attract some candidates, it may struggle to compete with higher-paying roles in neighboring areas or for those with more experience and qualifications, potentially impacting recruitment and retention of quality staff.
